Your young people will come to you in holy splendor like dew in the early morning." Ps.110:3

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

> In a world where many have deliberately chosen to reject God, we deliberately choose to serve Him. God has given us an unspeakable gift, Jesus Christ, through whom we can have eternal life and live with purpose here on earth. There is no reason reason we should be lost. Through Jesus Christ, we have abundant life and hope for the present and future.

Love & Peace, Not The Sixties Style                          editorial minute

This Christmas season I was shopping together with my wife and daughter at this Fairlane Mall outlet store “Limited Too” that girls love to pick their next outfit from.

The fashion designers seemed to have an obsession with Love () and Peace (). T-shirts, handbags, pants, games, etc. all of them had the Love and Peace symbols. When was the last time that you could Love your enemy buy wearing a Love sign? When was the last time a war was stopped by an army with the Peace sign on their uniform?

The 60’s Love and Peace brought us the sacrifice of truth on the altar of political correctness, STD’s (Sexually Transmitted Disease), the Jim Jones Guyana massacre, the AIDS epidemic, the abortion genocide, violence in school, teenage suicide and depression at much higher rates than before. 50% divorce rates and rampant marital infidelity.

At careful analysis we realize that Love and Peace come from changed hearts not changed clothing. Changing one’s heart is an impossible endeavor and only God is big enough to accomplish it. The Prince of Peace was born 2,000 years ago and we celebrate His birth this season. He was born to show the practical Love of God in saving His people from their sin and to bring Peace, first between us and God by paying our sin debt with his death and then between those with whom He is pleased;. It is only when we have Peace with God through Jesus Christ that our hearts are changed and we will be able to Love our enemies and have Peace with one another.

Let’s take this Christmas message to our friends, neighbors, co-workers, and school mates because people long for Peace and Love, the real deal.
                                                                                                                        Merry Christmas to you,
